Instrument Specific Classes and Band Ensemble Work
Ages 11 yrs and up
This program accommodates students with at least some experience on their chosen instrument. Percussion is the exception which requires no experience (age 10 minimum) . Participants develop a focus and refine a musical direction through master classes and band sessions.
The range of instruments includes:

Woodwinds: flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon

Brasses: trumpet, French horn, trombone, Low Brass(baritone, euphonium, tuba).

Percussion: snare, bass drum, xylophone, timpani, auxiliary percussion instruments. Percussion instruments are provided at camp.
Classes are grouped into studios by instrument(Percussion is one studio) and receive specific instruction and guidance on their instrument appropriate to their experience.
Participants are also placed in a band based on the experience stated on the registration form and demonstrated capability. Each band will showcase their accomplishments at the Friday Gala.
Students are expected to bring their own instrument in working condition. If a student does not have their own instrument, they can usually arrange to borrow one for the summer from their school music program. If this is not possuble we may be able to arrange to borrow an instrument for camp week .(please identify at registration).
Classes begin at 9:00 AM and run until 3:45 PM for the week.
Cost: $290 per student
